These posters were designed for an assignment during my History of Communication Design class. The instructions in the creative brief provided required that I redesign posters for a preexisting brand or product in order to showcase my knowledge of the art & design movements that we covered in class. I selected Nokia’s N Series as my product, & Swiss Style & Plakatstil as my design movements of choice. The contrast between these movements becomes apparent at first glance. In Swiss Style, I relied on using grids to introduce a sense of hierarchy & structure to the design. And in Plakatstil I used bold lettering & overlapping forms to capture the viewer’s interest.
