NANDO

Nando is a free-spirited & courageous individual who has mastered the art of dreaming while awake. She is propelled towards her dream of becoming a pilot & trains for it daily, even though she’s only 7. I created this character design as a part of my digital painting exercise routine. It was based around one of my friends from my bachelor’s. Nandini, the friend whom I used as a reference for Nando, was an ideal candidate for inspiration because she already had the traits I needed for the design. All I needed to do was visually translate her traits into Nando’s design. It was a fun exercise as my knowledge & understanding of texture improved significantly through it.
