KAZIMIR MALEVICH EXHIBITION

These invitations were designed as an assignment during my Typography class. The objective was to redesign the invitations for Knoedler & Company’s Kazimir Malevich exhibition in a manner that best represents the Russian abstract expressionist movement, commonly known as Suprematism. The details in the design are conveyed using an asymmetrical composition. I limited my color choices to red & black because they were dominant in many artworks created during this movement. I also avoided using pure white in this piece & instead introduced some warmth to the white space for experimental purposes.
